To become a certified inbound marketer, Kolb had to complete 10 live webinar classes and one review session taught by the following inbound marketing professors: Chris Brogan (New Marketing Labs), Brian Carroll (InTouch), Mack Collier (MarketingProfs), Rand Fishkin (SEOmoz), Eric Groves (Constant Contact), Ann Handley (MarketingProfs), Jeanne Hopkins (MarketingExperiments), Lee Odden (Top Rank Online Marketing), David Meerman Scott (New Rules of Marketing & PR), Marshall Sponder (, Elyse Tager (Silicon Valley AMA) and Mike Volpe (HubSpot).

The program concluded with a comprehensive inbound marketing certification exam held on June, 22, 2008 and the results were announced today. There were 5,000 marketers enrolled in the program and only 500 were certified. "We feel that inbound marketing is the's not a fad and it's not going away, said Kolb.
